Restaurant Style Dal Tadka

Our Comfort Food in Restaurant Style ! Protein Rich...Favorite of many of us..Easy to Digest & Simple to Cook with all the Readily Available Ingredients !

Ingredients :

Moong Dal - 1/2 Cup
Masoor Dal - 1/4 Cup
Toor Dal - 1/4 Cup
Finely Chopped Ginger - 1 Tsp
Finely Chopped Garlic - 1 Tsp
Finely Chopped Green Chiilies - 1 Tsp
Finely Chopped Tomatoes - 2 Medium Size
Salt - As per Taste
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 Tsp
Coriander Powder - 1/2 Tsp
Chilli Powder - 1/2 Tsp
Curry Leaves - 3-4
Hing - 1/2 tsp
Oil - 3 Tsp
Ghee - 2 Tsp
Jeera - 1 Tsp
Dried Red Chillies - 1-2
Kasuri Methi - 1/2 Tsp
Finely Chopped Coriander Leaves - 2-3 Tsp

Method :

1. Wash the Toor dal, Moong dal & Masoor dal Thoroughly. Pressure Cook it with enough water, Turmeric Powder, 1/4 tsp Hing, Salt & 1 Tsp oil for 4-5 Whistles. Once it is Cooked, mix well with a whisk. 
2. Heat Oil in a Kadhai. Add Chopped Garlic, Ginger, Green Chillies & Saute it.
3. Add Curry Leaves, Coriander Powder, Chilli Powder, Tomatoes and Saute well. Do not allow the masala to burn. 
4. Add in the Cooked Dal Mixture with little water and allow it to boil for 5-10 Minutes. Add Kasuri Methi at the end.
5. Heat Ghee in a Tempering Pan. Add Jeera, Pinch of Hing, Dried Red Chillies and mix for a while. Add this to the Boiling dal and close it with a Lid Immediately. 

Garnish the Dal Tadka with Chopped Coriander Leaves. Tastes Best with Jeera Rice & Fried Papad..Do Try this Recipe :)
